This year, the Indiana State Fairgrounds is launching the Christmas Nights of Lights! And we got to take a sneak peak before opening day!
Before I dive into the photos and some tips, I want to give a shoutout to Kristina Garcia from KG Motherhood for coming with me to take all of these amazing photos!
Christmas Nights of Lights
The Christmas Nights of Lights kicks off on November 8th and will run until January 1st. It is open from dusk until 10pm. It expands over two miles with more than one MILLION LED lights synchronized to many of your favorite Christmas classics (and some newer hits). And is now the LARGEST synchronized light show in Indiana.
Tips for attending the Christmas Nights of Lights:
- Plan your visit EARLY in the season (this is the first year, it’s going to be crazy busy).
- Got a car load of people over 3? pay by car load ($30 for up to 9 people).
- If you have a vehicle with a sunroof, TAKE THAT ONE!
- Try to go on a weekday VS the weekend.
- Go at your own pace. Don’t feel rushed by cars behind you.
You should definitely add the Christmas Nights of Lights to your holiday season to do list this year. I know we will definitely be back by the end of the season and this will now be a big staple tradition for my family here on out.
Lastly, bundle up! You truly get the full feel of the lights with the windows down, so be sure to bring some blankies or better yet, grab you one of those heated blankets that plug into your car outlet ( , grab some hot chocolate, and enjoy the show.
Also, I totally meant it when I said to take a car with a sunroof if you have one! You cannot exit your vehicle during this display and your kids will want to get as close as possible! My daughter hung out of the car door the entire time! Here is my proof!
